It's National Farmers week so New York State is asking all New Yorkers to eat local produce at least one day this week, for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The New York Agriculture Commissioner says 40 percent of fruit and nine percent of red meat sold at local grocery stores comes from overseas and there's no reason why New Yorkers can't eat locally grown food during the peak of summer produce.
