The new Ohio casino being jointly developed by Buffalo's Delaware North Cos. and Churchill Downs Inc. will have another local component to the project.

LPCiminelli, the region's largest general contractor, has been retained as the construction manager for the $225 million racing and gaming operation at the Lebanon Raceway.

The venue will feature live harness racing with as many as 2,500 video lottery terminals. The facility is to be located just northeast of Cincinnati.

Delaware North and Churchill Downs, under the Miami Valley Gaming & Racing LLC, agreed to purchase Lebanon Raceway for $60 million.

LPCiminelli has overseen a number of major construction projects for Delaware North.

Construction will start this spring.
