BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - A report in this week's Business First shows how a decision on on the Webster Block could come in just days, by August 15th. The site is located between First Niagara Center and the southern edge of Canalside. The Buffalo Sabres have proposed a $123 million project that includes two ice rinks, a hotel, restaurant, retail space and parking. Developer Carl Paladino is proposing a $64 million mixed use project, with a hotel, apartments, office space and parking. City officials will decide which makes the most sense for that location.

The University at Buffalo's new athletic director, Daniel White, is considering.. adding premium seating at UB Stadium to raise money for sports programs.

A report in this week's Business First says White wants to build a new UB field-house to be used as an indoor training facility for multiple sports and house sports medicine programs. It would cost $20 million to $30 million. Premium seating is one way to raise money for the project, which can help recruit more athletes.
