BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - Kaleida will open its new Global Vascular Institute and close Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital next year. Kaleida officials say they're "not going to have the Taj Mahal next door and have people walk into something less than that for our inpatient facility." So they have a project list "a mile long." Buffalo General filed a series of applications with the state Health Department this month for projects that total 3.5 million dollars.

In November 2011, Buffalo General's emergency room will move into the ground floor of the new vascular institute. You can read more in this week's Business First.

An 0 and 3 record is not good for the Buffalo Bills marketing office especially when you combine it with a weak economy and a franchise that has not made the playoffs since the 1999 season. Team officials tell Business First they have to work harder. There are still tickets available for four games - Oct. 10 vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars, Nov. 14 vs. Detroit Lions, Dec. 12 vs. the Cleveland Browns and Dec. 26 vs. New England, along with tickets for the Nov. 7 "home" game against the Chicago Bears at Toronto's Rogers Centre. The Bills do have the league's third least-expensive ticket.
