UB teams up with Children's

A multi-million dollar medical project is proposed for the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. A report in today's Business First shows how Women &
Children's Hospital and the University at Buffalo are teaming up to create a new facility that would combine a new children's hospital with a new medical school for UB. Kaleida health and UB say a parking lot site on Main Street between High and Goodrich is the most likely location for the new, shared facility. By the end of this summer, the two organizations hope to identify an architecture firm. The goal is to begin construction in summer 2012.

The Western New York Railway Historical Society is chugging along into a new home. A report in today's Business First shows how the group bought the former Buffalo color site on Lee Street. Organizers hope to open a heritage center this fall to showcase Buffalo's industrial past, with a railway collection and steel plant museum.
