The Niagara County Community College Small Business Development Center is presenting a business opportunity for wineries operating in New York state.

On March 8 at Freedom Run Winery in Lockport, Chinese Delegates from Free Trade Zone of Shanghai will visit to present information on the New York State Wine Outlet they are creating in Shanghai. It is a collaboration of various Chinese agencies and New York State Small Business Development Center.

New York State Wine Outlet combines functions of exhibition, promotion, trade and sales services. Located within the China International Exhibition & Trading Center of Wine and Beverage in Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone, New York State Wine Outlet joins a series of services provided by the center. The effort is geared toward improving promotion and facilitating trading through direct sales for New York State wineries, which will substantially lower the cost of entering the large Chinese market.

New York State wineries are encouraged to register as a New York State Wine Outlet Member to enjoy the services provided by the China International Exhibition and Trade Center of Wine and Beverage and the New York State Wine Outlet.

The presentation on the 8th is free, and will run from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Vineyard owners are invited to talk to the delegation about Niagara County's wine region. Currently, there are 16 wineries in Niagara County, which is the first part of the state the Chinese delegation will visit. Presentations are also scheduled for Jamestown, the Finger Lakes, Hudson Valley and Long Island.
