BUFFALO, NY (BUSINESS FIRST OF BUFFALO) - Snowbirds anxious about not having access to their regular brew can relax: Spot Coffee's new store in Del Ray Beach, Fla., will open by Nov. 1.

The shop, the sixth store for Spot Coffee Canada Ltd. (TSX-V:SPP), is located on Atlantic Avenue in a former Masonic Temple. Three employees from the company's Elmwood Avenue store are relocating to Florida to run the shop, says Tedd Getman, operations manager.

The company currently has five stores, including sites in the City of Buffalo and Williamsville, along with Rochester and Toronto. The company also operates a student-run cafe at Medaille College.

Plans call for opening a new site in the Buffalo in early 2011 at 1406 Hertel Ave. at North Park. The 3,250-square-foot space will include a stage for live entertainment and a large outdoor patio.

Next will come a second location in Toronto, which will likely open next spring or early summer. The company continues to scout locations for a fifth site in Western New York and a third in Toronto, Getman says.
