Seneca Gaming Corp. has bolstered its executive team with the naming of Doni Taube as senior vice president of marketing.
The company said in a statement that Taube will create the strategic vision for positioning Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel, Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel and Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, as well as the overall Seneca Gaming brand. The three Seneca casino properties in Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Salamanca combine to attract more than 15 million visitors each year, many from Pennsylvania, Ohio, other parts of New York and across the northeast United States, and Canada.
"Doni brings a renewed strategic perspective to our efforts to build upon the strong name recognition and customer loyalty the Seneca casino properties already enjoy," said Cathy Walker, president and CEO, Seneca Gaming Corporation. "As the geographic competition in the gaming industry continues to increase, our marketing programs need to be consistently strong and forward-looking. Doni has the demonstrated experience to help us introduce our properties and our entertainment experiences to new audiences."
Most recently, Taube was senior vice president of casino marketing and strategy at Resorts World Sentosa, located in Singapore.
Seneca Gaming has spent $200 million to its three casinos and last month announced a marketing partnership with Visit Buffalo Niagara to commit more than $3 million to promote its casino properties collaboratively with other area attractions.
Taube said, "Our casino properties can continue to be a strong tourism driver in helping attract visitors to the region and giving them reasons to stay longer and return more frequently."
Seneca Gaming now has more than 4,000 employees at its three locations.
