BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - At the Business First website, there is a database with compensation records for 52,440 employees of all 165 school districts in Western New York and the Rochester Area.
The salary records were collected by SeeThrough New York, a website operated by the Empire Center for New York State Policy. The report says 616 school employees in WNY made more than $100,000 last year.
Topping the salary list locally is Howard Smith, Williamsville Superintendent.
The Cleveland Clinic is advising Kaleida on its cardiac program. A report in this week's Business First shows how three programs from Buffalo General, Millard Fillmore Gates, and ECMC will be combined in 2011. Kaleida will also open its Stroke and Cardiovascular Institute in about a year. The report says the goal is to achieve top tier performance in cardiac services and address training and more. The consulting deal with the Cleveland Clinic is for one year. You can read more in this week's Business First.
