BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) Rocco Termini is back in the development spotlight. His next project, slated for downtown, is a restaurant made entirely of cargo containers.
The small parcel project at 128 Genesee Street marks Terminis return to downtown Buffalo. His other downtown projects are all located within the same block: Ellicott Lofts, Ellicott Commons and IS Lofts.
Termini purchased the vacant property from the city in October for $2,000. The Genesee Street venue will be run by Mike Andrzejewski.
Initial plans call for a two-story restaurant, second level patio and sidewalk seating. The environment is expected to be fast/casual dining that serves gourmet, flamed charred grill items.
The new restaurant will be near the Chippewa and Theater districts. It's also across from the Catholic Health Administrative Center, which is under construction and Genesee Gateway.
BMS Design and Schenne & Associates are designing the project. The restaurant is expected to open this summer, pending Planning Board approval on March 11.
