Northwest Savings Bank is one of the top 100 healthiest workplaces in the country, according to a new report.
The 2014 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America list ranks the Warren, Pa.-headquartered bank as No. 79 among health-minded employers. The report is the product of Healthiest Employers, a privately-held technology and data research company focused on corporate wellness.
The bank's ranking is based on various corporate wellness programs and employees initiatives, including on-site Weight Watchers, biometric screenings, massages, weight-loss competitions, wellness rewards and the tobacco-free workplace policy.
"At Northwest, we work hard to develop high-quality wellness programs to ensure that we establish a healthy workplace and our employees are armed with all of the tools they need to live healthy lives," said Krista Jamerson, professional development officer of the bank.
BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York also made the list, coming in at No. 88.
