New Ticket Deal For UB Center For The Arts

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - has a growing local presence. It handles events at First Niagara Center and Artpark, among other venues.

UB officials said the switch was made to help consumers with lower service fees that come with many ticket purchases.

"The Center for the Arts remains committed to keeping ticket prices affordable in Western New York, and the fight against rising ticketing service charges is central to that mission," said Joel Thompson, director of ticket operations at the UB Center for the Arts. "This new partnership with allows us to move forward with no fee increases in the foreseeable future, allowing our patrons the best opportunity to see the great entertainment they've come to expect from our stages at reasonable prices."

The Center for the Arts has a full schedule of booked events including a Sept. 23 show by Celtic-flavored band Clannad, a Sept. 26 solo performance by Bruce Hornsby, an Oct. 24 show by Glen Campbell as part of his "farewell" tour and a Nov. 20 performance by the National Circus of the People's Republic of China.
