New Grocery Store to Debut in Orchard Park

Orchard Fresh will open next month. It's the latest entry in upscale food markets. A report in this week's Business First shows how Tops developed Orchard Fresh. It will offer fresh, organic foods,
along with wood-fired pizzas. Instead of a traditional salad bar, shoppers will custom-order salads. Orchard Fresh will also feature craft beer, all-natural chocolate bars and more. Store officials say they are catering to the food lover - the foodie. Tops invested more than $4 million in the store on North Buffalo Road in Orchard Park. Its debut comes just months before Trader Joe's will open and Whole Foods continues to scout the area for sites

The Buffalo Museum of Science is experimenting with a new partnership. The museum is investing $900,000 in two new exhibits.
A report in this week's Business First shows how the museum signed a deal with Hadley Exhibits, a Buffalo company. An insects studio will open in September. It will be followed by a culture studio next March focusing on anthropology and more. Officials say they're trying to promote the Science Museum as more than just a field trip.
