In an effort to secure more bids for two key operations at Grand Island's Beaver Island State Park, the state has extended the respective bid dates.
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation has pushed back the bid deadline for food, beverage and catering operations and, separately, for golf course, food and beverage operations at the park's golf course until 2 p.m., Aug. 23. The original deadline for both was June 28.
The first RFP seeks partners to run the catering and food and beverage operations at the iconic Beaver Island Clubhouse as well as the snack bar at the beach and other possible options. The second RFP calls for an operator to run all aspects of the 18-hole golf course, pro shop and the course's restaurant.
