BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - After a closed door meeting, commissioners for the NFTA have agreed to send out an RFP (Request for Proposal) to parties interested in developing nearly 400 acres of waterfront property.
The NFTA has owned the property for many decades, and it includes vacant space, port terminals, Gallagher Beach, and the NFTA Small Boat Harbor.
So far, the City of Buffalo and the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation have expressed interest in the property.
The NFTA says they are setting a 60-day time limit on receiving formal proposals.
