NIAGARA FALLS, NY (WKBW) - A formal vote on an incentive package request by hotelier Ali Rizek deemed necessary to finance the construction a 100-room Comfort Inn and Suites in Niagara Falls is expected when the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency directors meet on Aug. 8.
Rizek has said he will invest $6.6 million to build the hotel and an adjoining New York-styled restaurant on the Niagara Falls Boulevard property he owns. The project is estimated to employ 60 people on a full and part time basis and have an annual payroll of more than $2.1 million.
The hotel would neighbor an Econolodge motel that Rizek also owns and operates.
Rizek is negotiating with national chains for the restaurant.
Construction is expected to start later this year.
