A prominent area developer and the One Canalside Building will receive top honors at the annual Business First Brick by Brick Awards.
Honored will be Peter Krog Sr., founder and CEO of the Krog Corp., who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and Benderson Development's One Canalside Building, which will be receiving the Golden Brick Award for the top construction project of the past year.
The Brick by Brick ceremony will be held June 9 at the Pearl Street Brewery & Grill. Winners and finalists will be honored in 10 categories.
Besides Krog and the One Canalside Building, other developments and projects to be honored are (listed alphabetically):

Best Green Construction (New or Rehab): SUNY Alfred Life Sciences Center, SUNY Buffalo State Technology Building, Crossroads Culinary Center.
Best Historic Preservation: The Graystone, Horsefeathers Market & Residences, West Huron Lofts.
Best Medical Complex: Erie County Medical Center Terrace View Skilled Nursing Home, Kenmore Mercy Hospital Emergency Department and Orthopedic Unit, the 199 Park Club Lane Building.
Best Multi-Residential: Bethune Lofts, The Exchange at University Place, Wyndham Garden Hotel/The Mosey.
Best New Construction/Development: Park Country Club west end modernization project, Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, Welded Tube USA.
Best New Office: Buffalo Metropolitan Federal Credit Union, Ivoclar Vivadent expansion, Twain Tower.
Best Restaurant Development: Brioso by Butterwood, Collegiate Village Solar Cafe, Tappo Restaurant.
Best Retail - Buffalo Iron Works, Buffalo Zoo entry complex, Ellicottville Square.
