Joe's Deli, a North Buffalo restaurant, has opened the Buffalo Catering Co. as a new affiliated company.
Joseph Lyons, Joe's Deli owner, confirmed that Buffalo Catering Co. will operate out of a building he owns on Tacoma Avenue, not far from the Joe's location at the corner of Colvin Boulevard and Hertel Avenue.
Lyons said he offers a varied menu and can handle everything from small events to large ones with as many as 1,500 people. Buffalo Catering recently handled on-set food and catering needs for the cast and crew of "Ward's Island," a movie filmed in Buffalo last year.
Joe's Deli, which operates in the former Mastman's Delicatessen location, has won numerous awards at such events as the Taste of Buffalo.
