BUFFALO, NY - With its move to Amherst in the offing, the Williams S. Hein & Co. Inc. has put its long time Main Street headquarters up for sale.
And, interest in the 78,583-square-foot pair of buildings has been extremely strong.
Hein, earlier this year, agreed to purchase a St. Rita's Court office building - paying $3.3 million for the property - as it shifts it operations from Buffalo to Amherst.
As the next chapter in the deal, Hein, which publishes legal directories and other law-related publications, put its Main Street building on the market. The nearly two-acre property includes an 82-car, secured parking lot and two buildings.
The firm is seeking $2.1 million for the property.
"There has been some seriously strong interest," said Ben Schiller, a broker with Pyramid Brokerage Co. of Buffalo, who is handling the listing.
Interest ranges from commercial uses to redeveloping the property into some form of mixed-use with a residential component.
"There has been some very interesting ideas bantered about," Schiller said.
