You often hear about the benefits of alternative health and wellness, but how do you incorporate that into your lifestyle? An event this weekend is designed to make that easy for Western New Yorkers.

A recent Business First report introduced you to Burgio Health Alliance, WNY's first alternative health and wellness online network.
Now Burgio Health is teaming up with other health-centered companies in WNY for an alternative health and wellness expo.

Dr. Phyllis Burgio, who has been practicing chiropractic care for 25 years, says the goal is to educate WNYers on healthy living that can also save them money.

"We hear a lot of about health care reform," she said. "We also find that healthcare inform is just as important for the consumer and the more that the consumer knows about their health the better choices they can make."

The wellness fair will focus on everything from massage therapy and nutritional supplements to light therapy and exercise.

WNY's Alternative Health & Wellness Expo will be held on Saturday, March 1, from 10:00am - 4:00pm, at the Complete Wellness Arts and Science Center at 1515 Kensington Ave. It is free to the public.
