Hamburg Site Sold for $420K

HAMBURG, NY (WKBW) - Wetzl Development has acquired a 21-acre parcel in Hamburg with the intent of building a 168-unit apartment complex.

Wetzl Development, through its Southwestern Ventures LLC affiliate, bought the property from Goldmark Homes of Hamburg Inc., paying $420,000 for the adjoining Southwestern Boulevard parcels, according to documents filed in the Erie County Clerk's office.

The proposed complex will house 21 buildings, each with eight apartments. The complex will feature a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.

The deal was jointly brokered by Howard Saperston Jr., chairman of Saperston Real Estate Corp. and Judy Black from Realty USA.

Greg Wetzl, Wetzel Development president and namesake, has previously developed the Franklin Park town houses and Stonebridge patio homes in Hamburg. the company has also constructed a number of residential units in Alden.
