Growth Spurt for Buffalo State

Buffalo State College could change the landscape of the west side. This week, the school outlined potential expansion plans that would integrate the school with the west side neighborhood along Grant Street. Ideas range from a new campus operations center to a four-level parking garage and more residential housing. But the changes depend on whether the school needs more space and if it secures funding from New York State. Proposed ideas could cost hundreds of millions of dollars. Forbes is out with its annual list of the 400 wealthiest Americans. Jeremy Jacobs of Delaware North is the only WNY resident on the list. Forbes says he's worth $2.1 billion and ranks 170th. Bob Rich Jr. ranks no. 182 and Tom Golisano ranks no. 332. Both of them now reside in Florida. Bill Gates is number one on the list.
