A new glamping resort is in the works in Cattaraugus County. Glamping is "glamour camping" with all the top amenities. A report in this week's Business First shows how developer John Hutchins bought up the former Camp Lakeland and is transforming it into Woods at Bear Creek. It has 750 acres and will feature 16 upscale cabins, along with RV sites. He says he won't open the site until he can "wow" guests.

A new study says energy use is expected to rise 56% over the next three decades. Researchers say demand will increase due to prosperity in China and India, where half of the worldwide increase is expected. Renewable energy and nuclear power are the fastest growing sources of energy.

The P&A Group fell short in Social Madness, the Business First contest. It racked up tens of thousands of votes at the end, but it wasn't enough to beat its competitor ROI Office Interiors out of Rome, NY. P&A hoped to win $10,000 for Roswell. ROI will donate the winnings to the Alzheimer's Association.
