BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Two development firms have been chosen as lead developers for two Buffalo Billion-funded projects.

Today, Governor Cuomo announced LP Ciminelli will become lead developer of the Buffalo High-Tech Innovation and Commercialization Hub at RiverBend.

Back in November, Cuomo announced a $225 million award from the Buffalo Billion Initiative to convert a former Republic Steel manufacturing site into a state-of-the-art hub campus for high-tech and green energy manufacturing businesses.

Cuomo also announced that the McGuire Development Company will become lead developer for the Buffalo IT Innovation and Commercialization Hub.

In February, Cuomo announced that IBM will bring 500 new IT jobs to Buffalo for the hub, which will be located in downtown Buffalo at a yet-to-be-announced site.
