With the cross-country skiing and snowmobiling season about to begin, Byrncliff Resort & Conference Center has added a new, on-site overnight lodge for its guests.
The Varysburg resort has converted a neighboring 2,800-square-foot house into the Maple Lodge. The lodge is designed to house large parties who may be coming to the resort for skiing or snowmobiling in the winter or golf in the spring, summer and fall.
Byrncliff already has 25 on-site motel rooms and camping sites during the popular "Jam in the Valley" summer concert series.
"We expect it to be very popular," said Laura Lane, Wyoming County Chamber and Tourism president and CEO.
The Maple Lodge can accommodate up to 12 people. The handicap-accessible house has five bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a living room and entertainment area. It also has wireless Internet access.
Maple Lodge overlooks Bryncliff's golf course and ski trails.
Bookings are now being accepted for the Maple Lodge, by calling Byrncliff at 585-535-7300.
