BUFFALO, NY ( WKBW) - Gas prices are on the rise again and drivers aren't the only ones feeling pain at the pump. A report in this week's Business First shows how prices are impacting area farmers who must power tractors and trucks. Winter Farms, for example, uses a couple thousand gallons of gas each season. Area manufacturers are also feeling the pinch, especially those that operate trucks with diesel engines that aren't fuel efficient to deliver their goods. Meanwhile, budgets for some highway departments have doubled in less than a decade as gas prices have risen.

Downtown Buffalo has an appetite for new restaurants like Mighty Taco and Dinosaur BBQ. This fall, Perfetto will open in the Market Arcade building. A report in this week's Business First says that's thanks to all the new residents who call downtown home. The report says, since 2006, more than 1,000 residential units have come online downtown. Several hundred more are in the works. You can read more in this week's Business First.
