The Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus garners Buffalo a lot bragging rights, but is it the city's best-kept secret, one that could be better publicized?

From new hospitals and research centers to startup companies and business incubators, it seems there is always a new development in the works on the medical campus. Neil Fraser, president of Medtronic of Canada, who toured the BNMC earlier this year, says progress on the medical campus is step one. He was so impressed with what he saw that now he wants to take things further and get leaders from the health-care industry in Canada to visit Buffalo (and vice-versa) for an exchange of ideas and opportunities.

Officials with World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara agree that introducing key cross border leaders will create a grass roots exposure for Buffalo. The organization is "rapidly expanding into the Canadian marketplace" so that could get the ball rolling. You can read more about the effort in this week's Business First.

Business First is hosting a Social Media Boot Camp next week to help people learn how to use social media to build their business and careers. It will be held on May 22nd, from 8am to 11am, at Salvatore's. The goal is to get a grasp on social media marketing that can work for you! You can find more information at:
