Hot and spicy... that's how some people like their chicken wings and that's how revenues are from the new Anchor Bar at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Delaware North tells Business First that revenues are up nine percent for the first half of this year. A report in this week's Business First shows how Delaware North generated more than $17.5 million in total food, beverage and retail sales at the airport for fiscal year 2010-2011. The airport handled 2.6 million outbound passengers, who are usually the ones who stop in for wings. The report says many travelers arrive early on purpose to hang out at The Anchor Bar before catching flights.

Hasek's Heroes is marking its 10th anniversary. The youth hockey organization was founded by former Buffalo Sabres goalie Dominik Hasek. A Business First report says the group is ready to double its operation. Hasek's Heroes will take over the ice rink in Cazenovia Park in a few weeks. It already runs the rink at Riverside Park. The report says, as part of the deal, Hasek's Heroes is partnering with the Buffalo Sabres Foundation on $100,000 in renovations at the rinks.
