Start Up Fever is the headline in today's Business First as more and more entrepreneurs are doing business in WNY.

The story shows how Crystal Callahan, a
Buffalo native, left and returned here to take advantage of a tech incubator for her business: The Worldwide App. The story shows how she is part of a "growing entreprenurial movement" in WNY.

Callahan was working in California until she heard about the Start-up NY Initiative that cuts taxes for qualified companies. She moved into a tech incubator in Buffalo.

The report calls her an example of how new resources at state, regional and local
levels are inspiring a grassroots entrepreneurial movement in Buffalo.

The innovation center at the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus has more than 60 companies and is growing.

But Buffalo is way behind with venture capital deals, compared to other parts of the state and country. You can read more about that in today's Business First.

Next week, Business First will recognize WNY's C-Level executives at Salvatore's Italian Gardens on Thursday, Oct. 3rd. The luncheon begins at 11 a.m. For more information go to:
