BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Nearly ten thousand high school students from across Western New York will be in downtown Buffalo for the Buffalo National College Fair next week. This is the 10th year that the event is being held in Buffalo at the convention center.

More than 220 college reps from across the country and beyond will be ready and waiting to talk to curious high school students about the college experience.

Co-chair Maryanna Fezer says the personal interaction is something you can't get online so students should be prepared with questions for the college reps.

"So you're shopping for college, but in the meantime, you've got to keep in mind that the college is shopping for the student," she said. "So this is a market time for both for kids to find a college and colleges to find kids and adults to find college for themselves if possible too."

Dr. Fezer says organizers do expect a lot of adults to take part this year as they consider two year schools or one year certificate programs in order to change careers.

The event is complete with seven evening workshops for adults and for students and their parents.

College Fair will be held next week on April 8 and 9. It kicks off at 9 a.m. Both days. You can get more information or register online at www.gotomyncf.com.
