Buffalo Looks to Host NCAA Frozen Four

Buffalo is considering a bid to allow First Niagara Center to host the NCAA's Frozen Four, men's hockey championships. The NCAA is awarding tournaments for 2015, 16 and 17. They could have a multi-million dollar impact on host cities. Business First says Buffalo could use the event to showcase HarborCenter, which opens in 2014. This year's event was held in Pittsburgh. Philadelphia is hosting next year. Buffalo hosted the 2003 Frozen Four.

Siena Research Institute is out with its real estate study. Researchers say real estate continues its comeback, "For the second consecutive quarter, the assessment of housing values in every region of the state is positive and predicted to increase by New Yorkers." Sellers are also in a much stronger position and heading upwards. In Upstate New York, the current trend is 7.8, which is optimistic. The score jumps to 18.9 for the future real estate outlook.
