Beer Tourism is one of the newest phrases in the hospitality industry. What better way to promote it than Buffalo Beer Week. We are in the midst of the ten day celebration now. It highlights Buffalo's growing craft beer culture and regional brewing heritage. It also promotes Buffalo's breweries, restaurants, pubs, and other businesses with ties to the craft beer community.

Neil Kavanaugh is the president of Consumers Beverages, which held the Buffalo Ball Park Brew Bash last weekend. He says the weeklong party is boosting local business.

"People are very excited, mostly about local crafts," he said. "There are several new crafts opening in Buffalo. We're on the forefront of launching all of them. We're happy to do so."

Buffalo Beer Week runs through Sunday. Organizers expect it to become one of Buffalo's mostly highly anticipated annual tourism events.
