BUFFALO, NY ( Business First) Nardin Academy High School is a perfect 10-for-10, finishing on top of Business First's academic ratings of Western New York high schools for the 10th consecutive year.

Nardin ranked No. 1 among the region's private schools each year from 2002 to 2006. Business First combined the public- and private-school standings in 2007, and Nardin has led that list ever since.

"It's hard work by the faculty and the students, a real willingness to work hard," says Rebecca Reeder, principal of the all-girls school in Buffalo. "It's the faculty giving students a little extra push when they need it and the students responding with extra effort."

Full details will be available in Business First's 2011-2012 Guide to
Western New York Schools, which hits newsstands tomorrow (Friday).
Highlights are also available at the newspaper's website:

Another all-female institution, Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, holds second place this year, continuing its upward movement. The Amherst school previously ranked third in 2010 and 10th in 2009.
