It's not easy to feed thousands of fans who have a hearty appetite for ballpark food. The Bisons have to consider ticket sales, the weather and more in order to prepare for the crowd.
Today Pettibone's showed off a new re-designed menu while concession stands have new items like mini tacos and Blue Cross Blue Shield Healthy Zone features healthy baseball treats.
Fans can wash it all down with new craft beers on tap, including some from Hamburg Brewing Co., as the Bisons renew their commitment to local suppliers.
Rob Free is director of food service at the ballpark. He's been feeding hungry fans for the past ten years at Coca-Cola Field and says a lot of planning goes into each game. "We try not to prepare too much food in advance because we want to make sure everything is cooked fresh for our guests and that's one of the biggest challenges," he said. "We're trying to keep an eye on the weather because that has a lot to do with our fans as well."
Free says fans ten to
now that opening day is complete, free says he'll get into a routine, then the school will let out in june and it will be another challenge to keep up with even more hungry crowds.
