The Service Collaborative will shut down its construction materials warehouse at the end of the year, due to overhead costs and cuts in funding. The nonprofit runs a warehouse filled with discounted building materials and furnishings for other nonprofit groups. Items range from lighting and counter tops to doors and tools. Officials tell Business First that despite marketing efforts, the agency couldn't keep the site open. The warehouse, on South Park Avenue, will accept new items through October. Then it will close in December. Organizers hope nonprofits load up on supplies before then.

Cash Realty & Auction has been retained by the operators of the Sonoma Grille in Snyder to auction off its furniture, fixtures and equipment. That auction is set for Oct. 10 at the Sonoma Grille's Main Street location. Sonoma closed in late August. It should re-open next year with a new name and menu.

Cash Realty held an auction today at the former Hyde Park Steakhouse, which closed at the Walden Galleria. Now mall operators, the Pyramid Cos., have signed the Texas de Brazil steakhouse chain to open in the Hyde Park site. Business First says Texas de Brazil is expected to open by late winter or early spring.
