Representatives from 35 young companies in the life sciences, energy, software and other high-tech industries on Oct. 1 will pitch to potential investors in 10-minute or one-minute sessions.
It's all part of Bright Buffalo Niagara, Western New York's venture forum, which is expected to draw more than 300 investors, entrepreneurs and elected officials. Presenting companies represent a diverse cross-section of the region's high-tech industry, in fields including nanotechnology, drug development, green energy, smartphone applications and more.
The forum runs from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. at Statler City, and includes a keynote speech from Victor Hwang, San Francisco-based venture capitalist and author of "The Rainforest: The Secret to Building the Next Silicon Valley."
Statler City is located at 107 Delaware Avenue in Buffalo. An event schedule may be found here.
