Orchard Park, NY - An Orchard Park native is bringing a unique twist to fundraising with glowboxes. They come in different categories from men and kids to pets and spas. Each one is loaded with different goodies from that category. When shoppers buy them online, either for themselves or as a gift, 20 percent of proceeds funds a project or an experience to help those in need.

Dave Peters is an Orchard Park native who has landed many roles in Hollywood. He and a business partner came up with the idea for glowbox, in an effort to improve the the community one project at a time.

"A project could be treadmill or stairmaster at women's shelter that glowbox has been responsible for," Peters said. "Or an experience would be sending 32 kids to Disney World and paying for their tickets, where they'd never have that opportunity ever."

Peters is hoping businesses, schools and individuals get on board either to purchase glowboxes or to sponsor a project page. He says he's working on setting up an East Coast manufacturing and shipping site out of Buffalo.
