Buffalo Police are investigating a crash that killed an 18-year-old Buffalo man and injured several other Buffalo teens.

Police say the man was driving a Jeep Cherokee on French Street near Kehr Street when he went through a stop sign and hit another vehicle. The Jeep went on to hit several trees before stopping. Police believe the Jeep may have been speeding.

It happened just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night.

The 18-year-old driver was brought to Erie County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

There were four other teenagers in the Jeep at the time of the crash, ranging from 15 to 19 years old. All four were brought to ECMC for treatment. Three have been released and the fourth remains with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle did not report any injuries.
