A Buffalo Public School teacher is paying back thousands of dollars she stole from her school's Parent Teacher Organization.

Patti Nabinger, 44, pleaded guilty to larceny in Buffalo City Court.

Nabinger is a technology teacher at BPS 43, and stole the money while she was serving as the PTO's volunteer treasurer. She stole a total of $3,530.82. The theft was discovered in August, and Nabinger was put on administrative leave in early September.

She has already paid back $3,000. She faces a one year prison term when she's sentenced April 1.
