Buffalo Schools have sent a letter to parents, warning them about a suspicious person.

According to the letter, Buffalo Police are investigating a complaint involving a 10th grade student who was approached by a black male in his forties. The male was driving a silver SUV with yellow writing on the side of the car.

A Buffalo Police spokesperson says this happened Thursday afternoon on Humber Avenue, as the student was being dropped off from the school bus.

The letter says that the man repeatedly asked the girl to enter his vehicle, and followed her until another woman saw the incident.

It doesn't say where this incident happened.

The letter asks parents to have a discussion with kids about how to avoid strangers.

If you have any information about this incident, you're asked to call police.
