Amazon is looking to spend $5 billion to construct a second headquarters.   The question is where it should go?  It is the final day for proposals to be submitted hoping to lure the project and its estimated 50,000 new jobs.

Buffalo and Rochester have teamed up and submitted a proposal hoping to convince Amazon to build the headquarters in WNY.

But could the global high-tech company succeed here?

Absolutely - say employees at Moog.  Moog oversees worldwide operations from its headquarters in East Aurora.  The company is going through an expansion and its 3,000 on-campus employees are expecting to see that number grow in the future.

7 Eyewitness News Reporter Ed Reilly talked to Connie Buynacek, a Moog employee who was recruited to come here from Dayton, Ohio eight years ago.  Buynacek admitted that, at first, she thought about the snowy weather but moving here she found an great community with a high quality of life.   Her career is also thriving in the high-tech world as Buynacek is now in charge of managing 300 Moog engineers across the globe.

Why does she think Amazon should locate here?  "Why not? There shouldn't be anyplace else they (Amazon) should be looking. It is the best place ever," said Buynacek.
