You buy coats for your children and all of a sudden they grow like weeds and can't fit into them anymore.
Buffalo Police will gladly take them off of your hands and give them to children in need of some warm winter clothes.
BPD is collecting children's winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots and other clothing items for a giveaway at the Martha Mitchell Center in the Kenfield Langfield Complex on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
New or gently used items can be donated at any of the police station houses until Tuesday, December 20.
