The NFTA metro rail suspended outbound service Wednesday afternoon after Transit Police discovered a body that had been hit by a metro rail train.

An NFTA spokeswoman says the body was found around 1:45 p.m. on the outbound line between the Summer and Utica stations.

The victim is a man in his fifties. Police say they have video of the man entering the tunnel in an area where the public is not supposed to be.

The incident is under investigation.

The NFTA is operating shuttle busses for anyone needing  outbound service.
