Just a quick word of caution to all drivers out there. With fall upon us, the deer are out in full force. Unfortunately I hit one driving home from work the other night on Grand Island. I was doing just a bit over 65 mph and all off a sudden, out of the darkness a big buck came running across the highway. A fraction of a second later and I would have missed him but even though It seemed as though i just clipped his rear end, my car ended up with almost $3,000 in damage.
I don't really care about the car, I have insurance, but I'm just hoping the deer got off with only a sore rear end. He seemed to be long gone, no sign of him at all after wards.
Anyway, keep your wits about you!
