It's been a cold and windy stretch across Western New York. We've had wind-chill advisories with wind-chill reading 20 below zero at times. It's been cold, but during the Blizzard Of 77 the peak wind gust was 69mph and the wind chill was 60 degrees below zero,.
That got me thinking, what is the strongest wind ever recorded at the Buffalo Airport.
I checked in with the folks at the National Weather Service and here are the all-time numbers.
