This workout is a lot more difficult than I thought it would or could be. I completed the P90X workout so I thought this would be similar. P90X is a great workout but this Insanity: The Asylum workout stays true to its name, and it's Insane. Seriously as I blog about it I begin to sweat.
Day 4 is the Strength workout. This consist of non-stop movements and a lot of push-ups and pull-ups. I was pretty happy with this workout, I made it through the entire session and felt pretty good afterward.
I took Saturday and Sunday off. Saturday was so nice outside and we spent the day cutting the lawn and putting up the trampoline for the kids. Saturday Night I played two hockey games in a hockey tournament at the Northtown Center.
Sunday I finished the lawn, watched my son play hockey and recovered from my 2 games the day before.
Day 5 was called Back to Core. This one was tough from the get go. All I can say as I was sore and if I looked like I could barely hold the weather clicker it was because every muscle ached.
Day 6 was Speed and Agility again, and Day 7 was Strength again. I felt like I really pushed myself on these two and I'm certainly feeling better about this endeavor. I certainly improved and that made the pain worth it.
I've completed seven workouts in the last 9 days with a few hockey games sprinkled in. I've never watched my diet but I decided I would eat better for at least this month. I am noticing a difference, I've lost about 6 pounds and my belt is one notch tighter. My mom even thought my face looked thinner, but since the tv adds 10 pounds you probably won't notice :)
