Benrus is on borrowed time with the Buffalo Bills.

The team is suing the watch company for nearly $1 million, claiming it has not delivered on payments as part of a two-year sponsorship deal that ran from February 2015 through December of last year. The lawsuit was filed in State Supreme Court and first reported by The Buffalo News.

The huge clocks have become fixtures above the 300 level of New Era Field over the past two seasons.

The suit names Benrus, GF Asset Management,  and BR Asset Management - all of which are based in the Providence, Rhode Island area.
