On September 24th many players for the Buffalo Bills decided to take a knee during the national anthem, throwing them into the national and political spotlight. On Tuesday, they held a community engagement day where they hosted five different events.

Each one allowed the team to interact with different groups at The Belle Center, Northwest Buffalo Community Center, Matt Urban Hope Center, Crucial Catch, and the Police Athletic League.

Running back LeSean McCoy, quarterback Tyrod Taylor, wide receiver Zay Jones, and linebacker Lorenzo Alexander were among many Bills who attending the events. Alexander had tweeted out the teams intention to hold these events on Monday, October 16th.

The team says that this is just the first step in them engaging the community, as they are also looking to create a dialogue between the team and politicians in the Western New York area.
