56 year-old Becky L. Frens of Batavia came to the animal shelter to claim a dog that was found on July 9th. The dog was in extremely poor health. It had multiple injuries caused by neglect, like multiple skin infections, mange, double ear infections and nails so long that the dog could not walk.

Frens was arrested and charged with overdriving, torturing and injuring animals and the failure to provide proper sustenance. The dog is now in the care of the Genesee County Animal Shelter.
