A federal grand jury has indicted three men in connection with a drug operation tied to a Buffalo barbershop.

Richard Clark, 47 - a Canadian citizen living in Buffalo, Barrett Johnson, 32 of Jamestown, and Joshua Castro, 31 of Buffalo, have been indicted on 14 counts of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. Castro is also charged with possession with intent to distribute controlled substances.

Investigators say Clarke supplied MDA and MDMA, also known as ecstasy or molly, to Johnson over a period of 10 months.

Federal prosecutors set up surveillance in January 2016 at Clarke's home on Nottingham Terrance and at Johnson's business, Iconz Barbershop on Hertel Avenue.

Officers obtained a search warrant for Iconz Barbershop, where Johnson was taken into custody. At the time of his arrest, investigators say Johnson threw items in his hands to the ground, including a Pepsi cup that contained a substance similar to molly.

Officers also found molly powder, ecstasy pills and $13,000 in cash at Clark's residence, according to prosecutors.

Each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
